I cant see dex pixia and diwata11/13/2023 ![]() ![]() Hardly hijacking, if anything you're making more of a fuss than I am.Īrgue all you want for Diwata to be more powerful, that's absolutely fine and I'll even go so far as to agree, but I'm going to correct people if they're using a dodgy argument. I came into the thread to stop someone using a fallacious argument, so that actual factual arguments can be used. Why do I think it's strange? As I said, my comment was neither directed at you nor did it mention you in any way, shape or form. Go read the "ultimates" of characters in league of legends and you'll notice a whole lot of them aren't anywhere near "ultimate." You're hijacking a balance thread about Titania to have a discussion about whether or not the word "ultimate ability" can be applied to warframe.Īlso, it's just what people call the fourth ability. You literally just came into the topic to pedantically correct someone on their wording. I'm perplexed as to why you feel as though me responding is somehow strange in a topic I posted. Is 'Amp' Octavia's ult, despite the fact that arguably 'Mallet' is her defining and most useful ability? Is 'Ravenous' Nidus's? I don't see it. I know it's become a commonly used term, but I really don't feel it applies to Warframe at all. I've also not seen DE ever refer to the 4th ability as an Ultimate (that I can remember). Hell, nowadays 4th abilities can be cheaper to use than some lower abilities, 'Defy' and 'Primal Fury' being a good example. Warframe has neither, in the case of older frames with pre-channeling ability costs, most ability sets had a linearly increasing cost of 25, 50, 75 and 100. Smite has cooldowns of over a minute on Ultimate abilities, Overwatch requires you to shoot or heal people to charge up your Ultimate. ![]() It doesn't have to be the defining feature of a character. ![]() We aren't supposed to have P4TW anymore, but pixiewing mode is literally THE defining feature of TitaniaĪs far as I know the ''ultimate ability'' trope is an ability that's incredibly powerful, but is balanced by a high cooldown or cost so that you can't use it frequently. Shoot, that'd be kinda wicked too, flying around with a swarm of butterflies. So, tl:dr, but why is Diwata rarefied garbage? If you don't want us to use it, why even include it? Hell, I'd rather have "summon another butterfly" than the current melee. I can certainly understand if there are coding issues, Razorwing is obviously coded as Archwing (you can get the archwing kills trophy in PoE by playing as Titania, fyi), but can Diwata at least have some kinds of better stats or interesting abilities? Like killing with a melee makes more butterflies? Or that butterflies aggro onto your melee target? Or a combo counter that doesn't reset while in razorwing? Or just straight up decent melee stats, ya know, something better than 5% crit and 10% status? Titania is super squishy, and passing AoE can be more than enough to end her in sorties, especially if I'm modding for maximum Dex Pixia goodness, which also puts her far away from the danger of passing AoE. I'm vastly better off using a normal melee weapon, which is still a bad idea even with full Dust stacks (no way to reach 100% enemy accuracy reduction, afaik, or it'd be useful). Right now, I'm just working on getting that maximum duration and efficiency so I can breeze through as a gun toting pixie. It can't even do finishers because it's archwing mode (even if you had some way to enable finishers).Īnd then you've got Dex Pixia, which treats every enemy in the game like paper targets (especially with shotgun mods), and with the evasion and aggro swiping butterflies, it's basically a carnival shooting gallery with infinite ammo. And, as a last ditch effort to make it vaguely interesting, I tried Energy Channel as a kind of "use it every once in a while" and it was a bust. It doesn't have the absurd raw damage output of the Dex Pixia (making channeling more than worthless), nor does it have the ability to use mods like Blood Rush or Body Count, and it lacks the status or crit to make use of Condition Overload or Berserker. New-ish player here, so I apologize if there's been something said about Diwata by the devs already, but to be brutally straightforward, why is Titania's Diwata so trash? ![]()
